Announcing her new whisky brand ‘SirDavis’, Beyoncé moves a step closer to billionaire status

Beyoncé Knowles continues her foray into the world of country music with the launch of a whisky brand called ‘SirDavis’ under the LVMH empire, entering the same industry that made her husband a billionaire and could push the superstar musician closer to the same title based on her performances.

On Instagram on Tuesday morning, Beyoncé announced the launch of the brand, holding a glass of the dark liquid and captioning the photo ‘DAVIS IN MY BONES’.

The first images released of the drink show a custom leather case with a ribbed glass bottle inside, featuring a logo with the famous Reneigh horse, which was first featured on the cover of Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ album.

Moët Hennessy, a subsidiary of luxury goods mega-brand LVMH, filed a trademark application in June for the brand, which includes the slogan ‘The future of whisky is here’.

Beyoncé’s net worth was estimated in May at $760 million, thanks to her music career and other ventures such as her now-defunct Ivy Park clothing line with Adidas, a collaboration with fashion house Balmain, Cé Noir perfume and production company Parkwood Entertainment.

The amount of Beyoncé’s stake in SirDavis was not immediately clear, and representatives of the star and LVMH did not immediately respond to Forbes’ request for further information on Tuesday.

$89.99. This is the price of a 750 ml bottle of SirDavis on the brand’s website. The bottles are scheduled for delivery in early September.

According to a court document obtained by the New York Times, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs earned nearly $1 billion from his relationship with Diageo for its Ciroc vodka and DeLeón tequila brands (Combs and Diageo parted ways last year).
