Breaking: Over 20 African Migrants Dies After Shipwreck In Tunisia

In the excess of 20 people has been killed after a boat sank in Tunisia, the victims were African migrant that were seeking for greener pastures in Europe before their untimely passing.

Mohamed Zekri, a representative for the Ministry of Defense, said the boat sank around six miles from the shore of Sfax.

The coastline near the port city of Sfax is a significant takeoff point for individuals attempting to arrive at Europe in the wake of escaping struggle and neediness in Africa and the Middle East.

In mid December, the Tunisian coastguard had protected 93 travelers of various African ethnicities, including three Tunisians, off Sfax.

Between the beginning of the year and mid-September, 8,581 individuals were blocked while attempting to arrive at Europe via ocean from the Tunisian border.
