Kaizer Chiefs has been praised from one of football’s greatest ever players turned coach, Lothar Matthäus giving his opinion on the club’s Naturena village.
Matthäus visited Kaizer Chiefs this week as part of his trip to South Africa with the Bundesliga, with a view to ‘build a working relationship between Chiefs and the Bundesliga’.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Matthäus said, “I am really surprised to see how beautiful it is here… The comfort level for the players. It’s a highly professional set up – the infrastructure, the quality of the fields and quality of the facilities is like that of a top Bundesliga club. Chiefs players have everything to prepare for each game in the best way.
The former Germany international handed over a signed shirt to Chiefs to congratulate them on their half-century as they celebrate their 50th birthday.
Kaizer Chiefs say they will be ‘ looking to extend a hand of friendship to the Bundesliga and its teams and work with them in various spheres in relation to football.
