Dubai  princess launches ‘Divorce’ perfume just weeks after her public split from her husband

Dubai Princess Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, who recently announced her separation from her husband, has just launched a new fragrance line, which she has aptly titled ‘Divorce’.

On her Instagram page ahead of the launch, the princess shared a teaser of her brand’s fragrance, Mahra M1, according to a report in The Times of India. The clip shows an elegant black bottle with the words ‘DIVORCE’ engraved on it ….

Captured by the revelation, users from all over the world took to Instagram to comment on the brand new fragrance. One user joked: ‘Revenge might be a better name, but I loved that one too’. And another said: ‘I wonder what it smells like? Betrayal? 

In July this year, the daughter of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced her separation from her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Radhis Bin Mana Al Maktoum, sending the internet into a frenzy. Shoppers from all over the world took to Instagram to comment on the new fragrance.

The couple married in May last year and have a daughter born in May 2024. The pair did not follow each other on social media after the separation was announced. 

Shaikha Mahra is the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Zoe Grigorakos, according to People.com. Shaikha is one of the Sheikh’s 26 children. HH Sheikh Mohammed is the Ruler of Dubai, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
