More Than 100 Coffins Discovered In Egypt

The Tourism sector in Egypt has discovered over 100 ancient mummy-holding coffins, the coffins are more than 3000 years old. Khaled el-Anany the tourism minister said the coffins will be preserved as a national heritage for the citizens of Egypt.

The final resting places are at present in plain view in an improvised show at the renowned Step Pyramid of Djoser in Saqqara and will be later moved to in any event three Cairo historical centers – including the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The disclosure in Saqqara necropolis is the most recent in a progression of archeological finds in Egypt since September as relics specialists have uncovered more than 140 fixed stone coffins.
