The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is making waves as a global pioneer in artificial intelligence (AI), positioning itself at the forefront of the technology revolution. With AI at the heart of its strategy for economic diversification and sustainable growth, the UAE is ambitiously integrating this transformative technology across all industries, fuelling innovation and reshaping the future of many sectors.
In line with these advances, the UAE Government’s Office of Artificial Intelligence Applications, Digital Economy and Remote Working announced a strategic partnership with UiPath, a global leader in business automation and AI.
To mark the partnership, H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Working Applications, met with Daniel Dines, founder and CEO of UiPath, alongside the UiPath team.
Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director of the Office of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Telework Applications, emphasised the UAE government’s commitment to fostering partnerships with entrepreneurs and private sector companies specialising in cutting-edge technologies.
Al Mahmoud further stressed that AI-powered automation will play a key role in advancing national strategies, improving service delivery and preparing government staff for AI-centric roles.
As part of the partnership, UiPath will help create a training programme to train up to 100 civil servants and students in automation and AI. Participants will gain hands-on experience of the UiPath business automation platform and, on completion of the training, will be awarded UiPath certification. In addition, this collaboration will help Coders HQ, part of the National Program for Coders, to provide participants with the skills needed for the digital economy.
UiPath and the Office of AI Applications, Digital Economy and Remote Working will also collaborate on a comprehensive programme to help government-backed businesses and startups adopt AI and automation technologies to drive innovation and improve operational capabilities.
