Linda Yaccarino has taken on the role of Twitter’s new CEO (Chief Executive Officer) from today. She has also hired Joe Benarroch from NBC Universal to work with her at the micro-blogging site.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Linda Yaccarino and Joe Benarroch will work together to turn Twitter into Twitter 2.0.
Benarroch wrote in the memo, “I will start a different professional adventure at Twitter, taking on a role focusing on business operations. I am looking forward to bringing my experience to Twitter.”
Benarroch wrote in a LinkedIn post that he wanted to work with the team to build Twitter 2.0. He said that he would focus on business operations at Twitter.
Yaccarino warmly welcomed Benarroch. She wrote on Twitter, “Welcome to the flock, @benarroch_joe! From one bird to the next. Let’s get to work @Twitter! #timetofly.”
