There is major concern in Madagascar as the country battles for food most especially the Southern region. The Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Union said in a report that at least one out of four people struggles to eat a basic meal let alone three square meals.
Southern Madagascar is experiencing the most exceedingly terrible dry spell in 10 years and the resultant food emergency, deteriorated by the impacts of Covid.
”In the midst of dry season, one of the endurance methodologies is to send relatives to work in the bigger urban communities, however development between areas has been restricted for quite a long time of control against the pandemic”, clarifies Jens Laerke representative from the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
