Nigeria: Super Eagles Star Opens Football Academy in Kaduna

Super Eagles star Moses Simon has opened Simoiben Football Academy in Kaduna as a way to give back to the society.
The 24-year-old Levente forward who was bred in Kaduna through his formative years and started his football career but the Nigeria international make four appearances and provided two assists after helping Genort Rohr side to claim Bronze in Egypt.

Simon told SCORENigeria;

“I see many talented players, who need help and I want to assist them,”
“This academy is not about me, it’s about the young talents here in Kaduna.
“I came out of here and I believe more players will also come from here.”

Super Eagles assistant coach Imama Amapakabo, as well as former Ajax winger and 1996 Olympic Gold medalists Tijani Babangida, were among the special guests at the launch of the academy at the Ribadu Barracks pitch in Kaduna, where the Liga Liga started out.
Thousands of fans were entertained with a friendly involving the new academy and FC Obaje, who paraded the Obaje brothers, Joshua and Godwin.
