Nigeria Super Eagles’ strategy for AFCON trophy

Nigeria Super Eagles is preparing to win the next edition of AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations). Three-time champions Nigeria has adopted ‘Let’s Do It Again’ strategy to win a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title.

Previously, Nigeria hosted AFCON in 1980. Christian Chukwu, Nigerian former football player and coach, helped Nigeria to win the AFCON trophy that year. Nigeria also won the 1994 edition of AFCON in Tunisia and the 2013 finals in South Africa.

Nigeria has already secured its place in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON 2023. Nigeria Super Eagles said, “We like the phrase  ‘Let’s Do It Again’ because it gives us confidence and the go-go push. We have done it before so we can do it again. Winning the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire is our goal.”

Nigeria Super Eagles’ strategy for AFCON

Kenneth Omeruo, who plays as a defender for the Nigeria national team, has said that Nigeria is confident to win the AFCON. Kenneth Omeruo said that the Nigerian team practiced really well for the upcoming AFCON. Defender Kenneth Omeruo said, “We have the capacity to make it happen. We are all ambitious.”

Recently, the Estadio Municipal de Portimao, a stadium in Portugal, hosted a friendly match between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Nigeria on Friday. The Nigerian team shouted, “Let’s Do It Again.” 

Last month, Nigeria concluded their AFCON qualifying campaign with a 6-0 victory over Sao Tome & Principe, an African island nation. Nigeria also won their last three games. The Super Eagles will aim to maintain their excellent form during AFCON 2023.
