Relegation Fighting Attempts To Lead Usuthu To New Signing?

Relegation-threatened AmaZulu, who will be in action this afternoon with the aim of working towards saving the club’s Absa Premiership campaign, are said to be willing to beef up the squad for the last few matches of the season, should they find a suitable player.

AmaZulu will be at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium this evening for their league match against Chippa United.

The Durban-based side is at the bottom of the log with 20 points from 22 matches, and an indication is that the club could be willing to beef up the squad with free agent Mthokozisi Msomi either before the end of the season, or in preparation of the 2020/21 campaign, depending on the club’s plans for the league they will be campaigning in.

Usuthu have been left with fewer options regarding playing personnel after the club decided to put five senior players, Thembela Sikhakhane, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Michael Morton, Jabulani Ncobeni and Nhlanhla Vilakazi on a ‘special training program’ earlier this month.

“There is an interest in Mthokozisi Msomi from AmaZulu. It’s something that we are looking at and working on,” Msomi’s representative, Gerald Baloyi, confirmed to the Siya crew.
