He said that Du Plessis can return to play for shorter formats. Walter said that he was open to discussions with Du Plessis about playing for South Africa again.

Walter reportedly said, “Faf has not retired yet. He is still playing very well in T20 cricket. He will build his future around T20 leagues.” He further added, “I would like to talk about the possibility of Faf playing for South Africa again.”

Du Plessis was not picked for South Africa’s team for their upcoming ODI (One Day International) series against England.
