Sports: Tshakuma Confirm Wits Takeover

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Football Club have confirmed completing the sale of Bidvest Wits.

For some time now, TTM owner Masala Mulaudzi has been in negotiations to buy the topflight status of the Sturrock Park club, having already confirmed selling the second tier league status of his own club.

The Limpopo-based club that has been campaigning in the GladAfrica Championship has confirmed buying the Absa Premiership status of Wits and its players.

“We are officially a PSL team Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Football Club has completed the sale of Bidvest Wits with all its players,” TTM confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account.

With a number of star players from the Students linked with moves to other clubs, including captain Thulani ‘Tyson’ Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto and Thabang Monare, it remains to be seen which players would be with the club for next season under the new owners.
