Super Eagles’ latest FIFA ranking released ahead of AFCON

Super Eagles’ latest Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) ranking released ahead of 2019 African Cup of Nations as Nigeria dropped three places to the 45th spot.
Friday’s announcement came as a blow to the three-time African Champions who moved up four places in the previous standings back in April but Gernot Rohr side maintained a third position in the continent behind the Teranga Lions of Senegal (22) and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia (25).
Super Eagles played a goalless draw with Warriors of Zimbabwe at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba as part of their preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt during the month review.
According to FIFA official webiste revealed Morocco is fourth in African and (47), DR Congo [49], Ghana [50], Cameroon [51], Egypt [58], Burkina Faso [59] and Mali [62] make up the other top 10 teams in the continent.
The Super Eagles are currently in Ismailia, preparing for last pre-AFCON 2019 international friendly against Senegal on Sunday, June 16 in Ismailia.
The three-time African champions have been placed in Group B of the tournament with Guinea, Burundi and Madagascar.
