The World: France Enters Second Coronavirus Induced Lockdown

France has been forced to go into a second Covid-19 induced lockdown in the early hours of Friday, League matches has been cancelled due to Covid-19 fears on Friday.

There has been a surge in coronavirus cases in Europe especially central Europe like Italy, Spain, UK and Germany. This has undoubtedly prevented fans from entering the stadiums of major European countries.

The announcement of the 2nd virus was made public by the prime minister of France Jean Castex, in the late hours of Thursday evening. This didn’t come as a shock to citizens as many had expected the lockdown.

The Coronavirus cases in the country has passed 1 million and unlike before the the country averages close to 70,000 cases daily, which has made the government authorities impose a second Covid-19 induced lockdown to prevent the surge in cases.
