Trump announces again the withdrawal of the USA from the Paris agreement

Immediately after taking office in the White House, Donald Trump has caused the United States to backtrack on climate action. The American president has declared that he will once again withdraw his nation from the historic Paris climate agreement while his country remains one of the world’s leading carbon polluters.

The withdrawal, which is expected to take effect in 2026, could be a blow to global efforts to combat global warming. The US departure could undermine the world power’s climate goals and block international climate negotiations.
