Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, has been making headlines in recent days. Recently, reports of his death surfaced online. However, Oladips’ colleague and close associate, Qdot, claimed that the rapper was alive. The drama wreaked havoc in social media, with many slamming the rapper.
Taking to Instagram, he clarified that he did not fake his own death. The management of rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji had announced in a statement on Instagram page on November 15, 2023, that the Nigerian rapper died on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Later on, Qdot revealed on social media that Oladips was alive.
Many people believed that he pulled a death hoax to promote his new album, ‘Superhero Adugbo.’ However, Oladipupo Oladimeji said that he did not do anything intentionally.
What happened to Oladips?
Oladips said that his health was not good. His management said that he “kept his battles within himself” for two years. Oladips also said that he was on the verge of losing his life. Reacting to the rumors via his Instagram story, he blamed Qdot for the allegations that he faked his own death. The Nigerian rapper said that Qdot rushed to announce on social media that he was alive “at a time my family was unsure of my situation.”
Oladips said that his family was not sure about his health. The rapper further alleged that Qdot made it look as if they had a conversation but they had not spoken this year.
Oladips wrote on Instagram, “Qdot, why you posted ‘My gee is alive’ at a time my family was unsure of my situation is so appalling and uncalled for. Unnecessarily misleading everyone. Make it look like me and you just had a conversation.”
The Nigerian rapper further said, “I went through it and anything could have happened.” The Nigerian rapper did not reveal about his illness.
Before hospitalization, the rapper posted a story begging his friend with the IG handle Only One Lifetime to come back home. He also begged his manager to take him to a hospital.
It was not known why the management alleged that the rapper was dead.
