In a shocking revelation, Hanks Anuku, a veteran Nollywood actor, has said that he has been jobless for years and urged people to help him in difficult situations.
Hanks Anuku, who starred as a villain in many Nollywood films, called on the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his fans to help him. The video of him working as a fuel attendant at a gas station in Delta State went viral on social media. Despite starring in Nollywood films, his financial condition deteriorated in recent years.
What happened to Hanks Anuku?
Hanks Anuku said, “I have worked for this country (Nigeria). I have attained the height of being a legend. But I’ve had no job for, God knows, how many years. May God help you all to help me.”
He also opened up about his current health challenges. The Nigerian actor, who has reached a legendary status in the entertainment industry, said that he needed money to treat his health and have food on the table.
Many fans suggested that the actor may be requiring rehabilitation due to a prolonged battle with drugs. Amidst the swirling discussions about his health, he was seen working at the gas station.

This is not the first time that a Nollywood actor has asked for help. John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has also asked his fans for urgent financial assistance to support his medical treatment. Nollywood actor Mr. Ibu said that he underwent a life-altering surgery to amputate one of his legs.Amaechi Muonagor, another veteran Nigerian actor and producer, was also seen pleading for help. He suffered a partial stroke that has affected his health. His health issues paralyzed half of his left leg. Amaechi Muonagor said in a viral video, “I’m calling on well spirited individuals to come to my assistance.”
