World Health Organization (WHO) Chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has rebuffed claims of a army chief in Ethiopia accusing him of sponsoring and supporting protesters in the Tigray region.
Several reports recommend that I am favoring one side in this circumstance. This isn’t accurate and I need to state that I am just on one side, the side of harmony,” Tedros said in an assertion he made this revelation known on his verified Twitter account.
“I am sorrowful for my country, Ethiopia, and I approach all gatherings to work for harmony and guarantee the security of regular citizens and admittance to wellbeing and helpful help for those out of luck,” he added.
“As a youngster, I saw the ruinous idea of war. I recollect very well the battling and the horrible human cost. As a grown-up, I have utilized this experience firsthand to consistently work for harmony.
Ghebreyesus also advocated for peace to reign in all corners of Africa particularly in the time of the coronavirus that has taken the world by storm, the WHO Chief said that intertional organization should weigh in on this ongoing crisis.
