A$AP Rocky’s Trial Begins in Los Angeles Over Hollywood Shooting Case

Rapper A$AP Rocky’s trial in Los Angeles where he is charged with shooting at a former buddy case started Today on Friday.

If found guilty of two felony assault charges related to an incident that occurred in 2021 close to a hotel in Hollywood, the rapper whose real name is Rakim Mayers could spend up to 24 years behind bars.

A$AP Rocky was the aggressor according to the prosecution who said that following a fight, he intended to shoot his childhood friend. The fashion mogul and Grammy-nominated artist who is also Rihanna’s partner has entered a not guilty plea and refuted the accusations.

The shooting, according to authorities, took place on November 6th 2021 following a furious dispute between the two men who had known one another since high school in New York. Both belonged to the hip-hop collective known as the A$AP Mob. Opening arguments for the 12 member jury that was chosen earlier this week started on Friday.
