As part of ongoing price changes worldwide, Netflix has increased its subscription fees in Nigeria once more, making this the third increase since 2024 and the second increase in 2025. Streaming giant Netflix has been adjusting its prices across many regions, claiming it needs to be able to invest into original content and cover operational costs. Nigerian subscribers will notice increases of 13-21% across all tier plans everything from Mobile to Premium plans. For subscribers, this news comes amidst rising inflation and data costs which has already increased pressure on household budgets and entertainment is rising in cost as well and affordability is a growing concern for many Nigerian users.

Netflix has raised the subscription fees for four of its plans in South Africa. The only plan that has not increased its monthly fee is the Basic Plan. The Mobile, Standard and Premium plans’ price hikes range between 12% and 20%.
