Africa’s most popular reality show, Big Brother (BB) Naija, will return for its seventh season this July. This year’s winner will receive a grand prize of N100m, a cash prize of N50m and N50m worth of other prizes from the sponsors of the reality show, the biggest cash prize for any reality show on the African continent.
BBNaija season 7 will be launched on July 23 and 24, 2022. According to the organisers, It will air from 7 pm on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, Africa Magic Family channels, DSTV channel 198 and GOTV channel 29 on both days.
BBNaija fans across sub-Saharan Africa can also watch the show live via the African online streaming service, Showmax. Fans across Africa and the United Kingdom will enjoy front-row and live-streamed access to all the activities in the Big Brother house on Showmax.

This season’s housemates will undergo a psychological evaluation before going into the house. Reportedly, this year’s show would also feature live shows and ninjas, which were a part of the hit show before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organisers also have a surprise for fans of the reality show. This year, 30 fans of the show will win N1m each in the ‘Fave Lock-In’ promo exclusive to DStv and GOtv customers. Fans can only vote for their favourite contestant on the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, MyDStv and MyGOtv apps. The voting rights will be given to the active customers of these apps. The number of votes each subscriber can have will be determined by their subscription packages.
