Resistance in Ivory Coast has called for a civil transition from the authorities in the country barely a day after the just concluded elections which was held on Saturday October 31st.

Pascal Affi N’Guessan and Henri Konan Bédié required a blacklist of the vote, saying it was “illegal” for Ouattara to run for a third term.

N’Guessan said it was the “end” of Ouattara’s command.

“Resistance ideological groups and gatherings require the launch of a common change to make the conditions for a reasonable, straightforward, and comprehensive official political decision,” he said.

It’s left to be seen if the the outcome of this election affects incumbent president Alassane Ouattara in his bid for a third term in office. ECOWAS has vowed to intervene if violence erupts after the election.
