Nigerian Nollywood actor Emmanuel Igboke won an award at the just concluded Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF). Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Richard Makun, known by his stage name A.Y, also won an award at the film festival.
Igboke won a merit award in the Best Actor category for his movie titled “Crosses.” He was nominated alongside Alex Ekubo. He was also nominated for Best Movie Producer (Africa) category as a producer for his movie “Crosses.” The film was directed by Akeem Ogunmilade. Meanwhile, AY was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award.
The Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) award ceremony took place on Saturday in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Many actors attended the award ceremony. Nigerian actors and creatives also attended the event.
The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival also featured artistic initiatives like the (TINFF Media Arts), a festival component devoted to individuals working in the field of creative media arts.
