Kaizer Chiefs Pay Tribute To Late Midfielder

Kaizer Chiefs have paid tribute to one of their former striker who sadly passed away.

Democratic Republic of Congo striker Emeka Mamale passed away this week at the age of 42 of an undisclosed illness.

Mamale plied his trade for Free State Stars (then known as QwaQwa Stars and Kaizer Chiefs among other clubs during his time in South Africa’s topflight in the late 1990s to 2000.

While tributes continue to pour in for the late midfielder, Chiefs have also sent in their condolences for their former player.

“Kaizer Chiefs family is saddened by the passing of its former player Emeka Mamale. We wish to express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Mamale from the DRC played for Amakhosi in 1999-00 season,” Amakhosi said on their official website.
