Malian army officers said opponents targeted and burned down an navy base near the Burkina Faso Border, before ambushing troops despatched as reinforcements.

According to authorities, thirteen terrorist had been neutralised. Twelve civilians also misplaced their lives, in circumsances that remain for now obscur.
The deadly attacks come just days after ratings of jailed militants were freed by means of the meantime government in a key prisoner swap.
