Politics: Opposition Wraps Up Election Campaign In Zanzibar, Tanzania

Opposition in Tanzania held their final election campaign in Zanzibar has they seek to win the forthcoming election against Incumbent president John Magufuli.

Police terminated teargas at little gatherings of stone-tossing resistance allies close to the site of the decision party rally not long after the concurrent social occasions finished, an AFP correspondent saw.

The resistance ACT-Wazalendo (Alliance for Change and Transparency-Patriots) rally occurred only hours after mission chief Nassor Mazrui was kidnapped and held for a few hours before being unloaded in the outskirts of Tanzania.

There has been history of electoral violence as the Government of Tanzania seeks to put an the dangerous events, with President John Magufuli seeking to be elected for the second time running.
