Grammy-winning singer Tyla Seethal has made the difficult decision to cancel her international tour and festival performances due to an injury. The announcement was made on her Instagram account, where she expressed her sadness to her devoted fans, affectionately known as her “Tygers.”
While the UK and European tour dates have been rescheduled, including shows in Oslo, Stockholm, Berlin, and London, Tyla has unfortunately had to cancel the entire North American leg of the tour, which included her highly anticipated debut performance at Coachella. Ticket holders for the North American shows will receive automatic refunds, while ticket holders in other regions will receive guidance from their respective ticket providers.
At just 22 years old, Tyla recently made history by winning a Grammy award. She became the youngest South African ever to receive this prestigious accolade, recognized for her song “Water” in the Best African Music Performance category.

In a heartfelt message, Tyla revealed that she has been dealing with a hidden injury for the past year. Despite consulting with specialists, the pain has worsened, and continuing the tour would pose a risk to her long-term health. For the past year, I have silently suffered from an injury that has unfortunately worsened. I have sought the help of doctors and specialists with optimism, but the pain has become more unbearable, as has the seriousness of the situation.”
“I am absolutely heartbroken to have to make this announcement, but at this time, I will not be able to proceed with the tour. After consulting with medical professionals, it has become evident that continuing with any festival or tour dates would put my long-term health and safety at risk. I cannot express my frustration enough at this pivotal moment in my career. Please know that my team and I are diligently working on creating a spectacular show for you as soon as I have recovered and am ready to safely return to the stage this summer.”
