Kenyan doctor Peter Kamaku has been named by CAF to officiate the upcoming AFCON qualifiers between Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Leone stars of Sierra Leone.
Kamaku will be helped by countrymen Gilbert Kipkoech Cheruiyot (Assistant Referee 1) and Tony Mudanyi Kidiya (Assistant Referee 2), while Anthony Juma Ogwayo will fill in as the fourth official.
He was among 27 arbitrators chose by the Confederation of African Football to administer at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Ethiopia’s Solomon Gebresilassie has been named coordinate official, while the arbitrator’s assessor Attama Ibrahim Boureima is from Niger.
Kamaku has been a top referee in Africa, having officiated the 2019 AFCON in Egypt. He is highly experienced in African football.
