Sports: Super Eagles begin training ahead of friendlies

Super Eagles begin training ahead of international friendly games against Algeria on Friday and Tunisia four days later.

Nigeria’s international friendly fixture against the North African nations are expected to prepare Gernot Rohr’s side for November’s double-header Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.

Nigeria’s encounter against Algeria would be the fourth meeting between the two countries in three years.

With Victor Moses scoring a brace and John Obi Mikel propelled Super Eagles to a 3-1 triumph over the Desert Warriors in the first leg of the third round of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
