Netflix has officially renewed the second season of the hit supernatural comedy horror series Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character.
In a new video, Netflix confirmed season 2 of Wednesday. Netflix reportedly said, “It’s official: Wednesday Season 2 is coming.” Subsequently, the lead actress Jenna Ortega wrote on Twitter, “Thanks to everyone who made this upcoming season possible.” Netflix also shared the teaser of the second season of Wednesday.
Wednesday is based on the character Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family, a 1991 comedy horror series. The first season of Wednesday consists of eight episodes. The popular series garnered nearly 341.2 million hours of viewership within the first week of release.

They reportedly said, “It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world.” They said that the show would continue bringing new mysteries in season two. The second season would emphasise Wednesday’s relationships with her mother Morticia and friend Enid.
