More than five months after the competition began with August’s extra preliminary round, the FA Cup is featuring Premier League and EFL Championship clubs for the first time this season, with a series of intriguing third-round fixtures.
The 44 teams from English football’s top two tiers were in the third-round draw with 20 remaining entrants from League One, League Two and the National League. And, for the first time ever, all the ties at this stage are being decided on the day, without any replays.
