MEC Gaoage Molapisi, who serves as the Minister of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements, and Traditional Affairs, will soon be donating seven new homes to military veterans in Jouberton. Jouberton is situated in the City of Matlosana Local Municipality.
The handing over ceremony will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026. MEC Molapisi Jouberton military veterans homes.This process comes as one of the government’s efforts in recognizing military veterans in the country.
Supporting Housing Under Military Veterans Act
This particular project is set to be carried out according to the Military Veterans Act, 2011, which spells out the government’s mandate to assist veterans of the armed forces in all nine provinces.
In addition to housing, the Act ensures that the veteran community will also benefit from other services, including access to healthcare facilities and education, among others, in order to enhance their well-being. The delivery of houses to Jouberton residents is thus part of this commitment.
