Popular Zimbabwean Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, has been rearrested by the police in Zimbabwe. Chin’ono was arrested earlier in the year, he even had to spend some moths in jail before his bail.
Zimbabwean police prior said Chin’ono was utilizing his Twitter handle to “sabotage the uprightness of the courts.”
Chin’ono was temporarily free from jail subsequent to going through over a month in pre-preliminary authority dealing with indictments of instigating mass shows. The provisions of that bail preclude him from posting on Twitter.
Chin’ono arrest has been seen as a violation of human right and somehow violates the press freedom code in journalism. We’ll have to wait and see how the story develops.
