Ireti Doyle, a Nigerian actress, has confirmed separation from Patrick Doyle, a Nigerian veteran actor and broadcaster. She has said that she is no longer married to Patrick Doyle.
During an interview with Chude Jideonwo, she reportedly said, “We are officially divorced.” She also shared a clip of the interview on her Instagram page. She also discussed intimate details about her marriage.
The actress revealed that she suffered physical and domestic violence as a teen. She explained that she had her first child at the age of 19 and “had no business being married at that time.”
She further said, “In this age where everything one says is scrutinised and quartered; it takes a certain level of trust to bare intimate details.”
The famous Nollywood actress has six kids with her ex-husband Patrick Doyle. She got married to him at a young age. After the divorce, she left her ex-husband’s apartment.
The actress was born on 3 May 1967 in Ondo State, a state in southwestern Nigeria. She spent her childhood with her family in Boston, United States. After completing her primary education, she obtained a Diploma in Mass Communication and graduated from the University of Jos with a degree in Theatre Arts.
She began her career in acting. She also produced and presented her own fashion and lifestyle show titled “Oge With Iretiola.” In 2016, she was nominated at Africa Movie Academy Awards in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category.
She is best known for her film Fifty, The Arbitration, The Wedding Party, Dinner and Madam President. She is also famous for her shows like Fuji House Of Commotion, Dowry and Gidi Up.
