Now living in exile in Spain, the actress made a timid return to the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily in June 2023. She was there to defend Conor Allyn’s thriller In the Fire, set in 1890 Colombia, about a couple who confront a priest who believes their autistic child is possessed by the devil.
