Ethiopians are a proud nation, and their history supports that. The first black victory over European colonizers, Queen Sheba and the Solomonic dynasty, Emperor Haile Sellasie and Rastafarianism, and many more are examples of this.

Long distance runner Haile Gebrselassie set numerous world records. He is currently retired from competition running but is still quite active operating numerous enterprises in his native Ethiopia.
3. Liya Kebede
Ethiopian-born model Liya Kebede is now very active in philanthropy, particularly maternal health. She is an actor as well as a fashion designer. She was reportedly the 11th best-paid model in the world at the height of her modelling career.
4. Ruth Nega
Ruth Negga is an Ethiopian-born Irish actress who has gained widespread acclaim for her performance as Mildred Loving in the 2016 movie “Loving.” She has also been nominated for Best Actress awards from the Academy, Critics’ Choice, and Golden Globe organizations. 5. Aster Aweke
An Ethiopian singer named Aster Aweke moved to Washington, DC, where there is a sizable Ethiopian community. She rose to a celebrity there by singing and performing for an international audience, but she also continues to be well-known in Ethiopia.
6. Kenenisa Bekele
Long distance runner Kenenisa Bekele currently holds the world and Olympic records for the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter distances. He holds numerous world records and numerous medals, making him one of the best distance runners of all time.
7. Marcus Samuelsson
Marcus Samuelsson is a well-known chef and restaurateur who was born in Ethiopia. He presently serves as the executive chef at New York’s renowned Red Rooster.
8. Tirunesh Dibaba
Tirunesh Dibaba, often known as “Baby Face Destroyer,” is an Ethiopian distance runner who holds the record for 5000 meters. Three Olympic track gold medals, five World Championship track gold medals, and four individual World Cross Country crowns are just a few of her many accomplishments.
Rapper Amine, also known as Adam Daniel, is of Ethiopian heritage. His commercial debut song, “Caroline,” which peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, made him a singer and songwriter as well.

10. Lola Monroe a.k.a. Angel Lola Luv
Rapper, actress, and model Lola Monroe was born in Fershgenet Melaku in Ethiopia. She has posed for numerous well-known musicians, like Trey Songz and Kanye West, and appeared in their music videos. Later, in 2007, she adopted the name Lola Monroe in honour of Marilyn Monroe. At the BET Awards ceremony, she was up for Best Female Hip Hop Artist.
