In a speech, Morocco’s King Mohammed VI criticized “planned attacks” on his kingdom by “some countries and groups known to be hostile,” which he did not identify. Morocco, like certain other Arab Maghreb countries, is the target of premeditated and purposeful aggression.
The foes of the Kingdom’s territorial integrity, clinging to outdated ideas, do not want Morocco to remain the free, strong, and influential nation it has always been,” he stated.
“Moreover, several countries, particularly European countries, fear for their economic interests, markets, and spheres of influence in the Maghreb region,” he continued without elaborating.
In his speech commemorating the 68th anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution, Mohammed VI expressed his desire to “establish stable, productive, and balanced relations, especially with neighboring countries,” mentioning Spain but also France.
