Elon Musk to fire more Twitter employees: Report

Elon Musk’s Twitter is reportedly planning to fire more employees in the coming weeks. According to a report, two people at the social media firm familiar with the development have said that Twitter would lay off 50 workers from its product division.

According to Insider, Twitter has adopted measures to reduce expenses. Musk can fire employees in the coming weeks. Earlier, Musk told staff that there would not be any more reduction in staff at the social media company. However, the social media company now plans to fire more workers.

Ever since Musk took over Twitter in October 2022 for $44 billion, he has fired half of Twitter’s staff, including the top executive of the social media company. Later on, he implemented various product and organisational changes.

Musk rolled out the Twitter-verified Blue check-mark as a paid service. The verified blue checkmark is available at the price of $8 for android users and $11 for iOS users. It can be purchased through the new Twitter Blue service. He also rolled out gold and silver badges for big organisations.

Twitter is also facing a lawsuit as it failed to pay rent for the Hartford Building — Columbia Reit – 650 California LLC. The company also did not pay rent for two charter flights worth $197,725.
