Cricket legend Kapil Dev slammed the Indian cricket team after their loss to South Africa in the T20 World Cup on Sunday, saying the team cannot win if they keep wasting chances and dropping catches.
Criticising India’s missed chances on Sunday, Kapil Dev said the players’ enthusiasm should rise as they defend a low total. Kapil Dev said that if one misses gruelling chances and catches in shorter format cricket, one cannot win. When the team is defending a low total, the enthusiasm and energy should increase to 100 per cent.
The cricket legend said that while he understands that dropped catches can happen in a game, it should not happen when the match is on a knife edge as it lowers the team’s morale.
