South Africa has announced their squad for the England tour on Wednesday. However, there are few surprises in the store. Temba Bavuma, South Africa’s regular skipper, has been ruled out of the tour because of an elbow injury.
Bavuma sustained an injury on the recent tour of India. He reportedly needs another eight weeks to recover fully. In his absence, David Miller has been named as T20 captain, and Keshav Maharaj has been named the ODI skipper for the upcoming tour.
Left-handed batsman Rilee Rossouw returns to the T20 match after 5 years. Kagiso Rabada will only play in the T20 match. Right-arm fast bowler Gerald Coetzee earns a maiden T20 call-up.
