WHOOP signs global partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese football legend will invest in one of Ronaldo‘s ‘most important investments to date’. According to Whoop, he will become an official global ambassador for the wearable technology company. The financial aspects of the milestone were not disclosed, but according to Whoop, the deal represents one of Ronaldo’s ‘most important investments to date’.

‘Whoop has had a transformative impact on my life on and off the pitch,’ Ronaldo said in a statement. ‘I wear Whoop while training, sleeping and recovering. It has been one of the most important tools to help me maximise my game and monitor my health.’

The 39-year-old footballer joins the company’s growing list of global investor ambassadors.

Whoop founder Will Ahmed also announced the investment earlier on Twitter to his nearly 37,000 followers.

The Boston-based company has recently expanded its services to Hong Kong, Israel, Korea, Taiwan and will soon be available in India, Mexico and Brazil. Ronaldo’s investment and partnership with the company coincides with the announcement that Whoop will expand its operations to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Ronald’s investment in the technology company is an obvious choice, as his success is built on his determination to perform at the highest level.
